Pakistani designer Adnan Pardesy to showcase UTOPIA at “Lifestyle Pakistan” in New Delhi, India.
After a strong debut of 4 Pakistani designers in India through Lakme Fashion Week this year, acclaimed Pakistan based couturier Adnan Pardesy has recently announced his participation in the upcoming Lifestyle Pakistan to be held in New Delhi from 10th to 14th September 2014.
The designer will be showcasing his new collection UTOPIA at the four day exhibition taking place at Hall No.14 & 18 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The 2nd annual Lifestyle Pakistan will showcase Pakistani talent and will demonstrate the nation’s key strengths in textile, fashion and food.
UTOPIA is inspired by numerous visuals that the designer has collected over time, including imagery related to beautiful architectural sites, nature, history and different forms of art.
UTOPIA will predominately feature lively and bright colors based on 100% silk chiffons and charmeuse silks. Pardesy has skillfully arranged the new collection into three broad spheres, which are certain to appeal to fashionistas with different tastes and preferences.
The collection will be a fusion of digital prints and hand embroidered silk ensembles, complemented by a range of luxury pret and wedding wear. The hand embroidered silk range features aari work coupled with zardozi techniques. The formal and bridal range features traditional kora and zardozi embroideries.
Speaking about his brand’s international tour, Pardesy said “It’s heartening to see the growth of the Pakistani fashion industry, especially with foreign audiences such as in India. Pakistani fashion is now making itself known across borders and our designers are well appreciated for their creativity and distinct aesthetics. Since the last 4 to 5 years we have seen a lot of cross border exhibitions which testify to our fashion industry’s strength and ability to bridge gaps between nations while positively contributing towards cross border trade”.
UTOPIA will be available from 20th September, 2014 for retail at the brand’s Karachi Studio along with other multi-designer stores nationwide.
