Pakistani designer Sania Maskatiya to showcase "SAKURA" at Lakme Fashion Week tonight.
SAKURA, inspired by popular Japanese culture and symbolism will be showcased by the designer today (20th August, 2014) at LFW Fall/Winter in Mumbai.
Making her debut at the Lakme Fashion Week, Maskatiya said:
“We are thrilled to be participating for the first time in India through Lakmé Fashion Week and are proud to represent the contemporary face of Pakistani fashion. As we look to expand our brand regionally and internationally, platforms such as Lakmé Fashion Week and prior to this, consideration for the Woolmark Award, give our brand excellent exposure and a provide us an opportunity to grow our target audience. LFW is a great platform to introduce our brand into the Indian market and further establish our brand image overseas.”
SAKURA consists of an array of mixed prints and hand embroideries with a diversity of cuts and patterns in Maskatiya’s signature style.
The jewellery to support her beautiful collection is done by Kiran Aman of Kiran Fine Jewellery, known for its classic signature style with textured and beaten gold in 22-23K gold.
We look forward to a great collection and wish Sania Maskatiya all the very best for her LFW debut.
